Posting Guidelines

* Please do not spam. Spam can be defined as:

*Posting one or two word replies.

*Double posting, or quoting yourself.

*Posting "up for ", "daan lang", "hi !"

*Posting images or smilies for the sake of posting.

*Posting promotional images that are not related to the thread topic.

*Posting more than three consecutive posts in the span of two hours.

*Posting things that are not on topic. (When posting in a thread, please make sure that what you are saying is related to the topic of your thread.)

* Do not abuse font properties. Use only the bold/italic/ foNT tags to emphasize something, not in your entire post. And don't enlarge your fonts to make your point, this will only serve to irritate other people.

* Lurk before you post. To prevent double threads, use the Forum Search to look for existing threads that may be similar to the topic you want to start.

* Do not bash other members in any way, shape or form. If you have a problem with a member, either PM them about it, or report them to a moderator.

* Do not discuss illegal activities, such as illegal file-sharing. This could get the board into serious trouble.

* When starting threads, use the proper title format. Remember to use proper capitalization, spelling, grammar and punctuation. Refrain from using ALL CAPS, *F_a_N_(_Y~T e X +* or txt msg 4mat in thread titles as they make the thread titles difficult to read.

* Be specific. When entering the thread title, use specific and descriptive subject lines so that the other members will know what your thread is all about without opening it.

* Insert spaces after punctuation marks. Always insert a space after a punctuation mark to make your post easy to read. But do not abuse ellipses. Ellipses are composed of only 3 or 4 dots and are used only when something is left out of a sentence, not as substitute for periods or a design cliche.

* Use private messages. If your post would only concern a number of people, it is best to send them a private message instead so as not to disturb and deviate from the flow of the discussion.

* No flooding. If you're the last poster in a thread, edit your previous post instead of posting messages consecutively.

* Refrain from posting full text of articles. If you find an article that you'd like to share with others, just post a synopsis of the article then include a link to the article. Don't forget to cite the source so as to minimize risk of copyright lawsuit.

* When quoting replies, you can leave out previous quotes when quoting a quote that already quoted something else. In other words, quote only the message you're replying to -- not the entire conversation.

* Do not quote the first post. It is already assumed that you are replying to the post of the thread starter. There's no need to quote his/her message, unless he/she brought up numerous issues and you're only replying to a couple of them.

* Quote only the relevant text. Edit out the unnecessary text. Quote only the text that is directly applicable to your reply.

* Don't include images when quoting. It slows down the loading of the page.

* Close the quote tags. Remember that all quote tags have a corresponding /quote at the end of the message. Make sure that the message that should be in quotes is enclosed in the quote tags.

* Do not include your reply inside quote tags. Moderators cannot be blamed if messages where replies are not visible outside of the quoted text are deleted.

====================================

Posting Images and Links

* Use images sparingly. Unless they contribute to the discussion, avoid posting images as much as possible. If you do post an image, make sure its width and height does not exceed 450 pixels.

* Post small file sized images only. Do not use image tags for large images - post the link to the image instead. This helps pages to load faster for users with slower connections.

================================

SIGNATURE GUIDELINE

* Signatures should not be larger than 450px width and 150px height

=====================================

Forum Abuse Policy

2nd Offense - Public warning on the message board plus deletion of post or lock topic.

3rd Offense - Moderators will discuss and suspend the user from the iGMA forum.

4th Offense - Offending member's account will be disabled.
